Our saturday morning breakfast stop. Owners are super nice. Donuts are fresh and yummy. They offer croissants and bagels too.

Having gone to San Jose this morning, I had to try Heritage to feed my love (addiction?) to donuts. I was fortunate that a couple people there started chatting with me and we eventually bought 6 different donuts to share as a 'sampler platter.' The variety at Heritage is average. It wouldn't be fair to compare Heritage to Voodoo Donuts, but some shops like Centennial (Oakland), King Pin (Berkeley), & Krispy Kreme have better variety and some have worse. Because this place is a bit off the beaten path and their rent is probably relatively low, donut prices are pretty good.

Proprietors are the nicest people and the donuts are some of the best I've ever had, bar none! Try the apple filled bear claws or the apple fritters. If you can find a better donut anywhere else I'd be surprised. Their maple twists are also amazing. We travel here from the Seattle area, home of the world famous Top Pot Doughnuts, so we like to think we know great doughnuts, and also donuts. Heritage is at the TOP of the list!
